Ja’mel Armstrong serves as the Lead Pastor of The Soul Center. Prior to God’s calling to church planting he served as youth pastor of St. Stephen Church in Louisville, KY. He is married to the love of his life Rochelle and they are the proud parents of Jonathan, Jessica and Dejah. In his spare time Ja’mel enjoys watching football, roller skating and most importantly spending time with his family.
Cory Bailey serves as the Executive/Outreach Pastor for The Soul Center. Prior to joining Team Soul Center Cory served as youth pastor at 2nd Baptist Church, Taylorsville. It was there that Cory met & wed the love if his life Jillian. Cory is gifted preacher/teacher and has an amazing heart for community outreach and service.
George Howard serves as worship pastor for The Soul Center. Prior to joining Team Soul Center George was the worship leader at Green Castle Baptist Church. Besides singing, George enjoys acting and is a bonafide gym rat. George is also an excellent teacher and has a passion for youth ministry and outreach.
Freda Robinson serves as the Director of Togetherness at The Soul Center. Freda is a free spirit, social butterfly who has never met a stranger. Besides seeing to it that The Soul Center grows closer together Freda also sings on the praise team. She is the proud mother of two; Dowan and Jherae.
Kaniece Smith serves as the Director of Connections for The Soul Center. Kaniece also sings on the praise team and is always equipped with a warm smile and pleasant personality as she helps people to get plugged into our church family. Kaniece is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and is the proud mommy to a miniature poodle named Keno.
Daniel English serves as Media Director for The Soul Center. Daniel has a gift for all things technical. Although a man of few words, Daniel’s heart is to play his role to the best of his ability to help ensure the message of Christ goes out through the technology of the church. In his spare time Daniel loves to play and watch basketball. He loves spending time with family and can’t resist a good laugh.
